Milestone Achievement: IMS Middle School

We are thrilled to announce that we successfully raised $5 million for the IMS Middle School Fund and have built Hong Kong’s first Montessori Middle School! We could not have done this without your tremendous support and encouragement - and challenging us to continue persevering, against the odds and inertia. This new programme, which came after 10 years of work is such a high point to start our 24th year on, and a wonderful place to welcome our inaugural Head of School, Dr. Timothy Veale to become part of our forward momentum. We cannot thank you enough for the part you have played in keeping the Montessori Magic alive and well, and creating IMS’s future.

Contributions to our Teacher’s Wish Lists afford every IMS teacher the ability to create materials just for your child; meanwhile, funds to our Wishing Well allow faculty leaders to make wider campus upgrades.

Library Collections

Contributions to our library enable us to expand our collection of books and periodicals with new publications each year.

Chinese Development

IMS pioneered the Montessori Chinese programme, and we create and acquire new materials to elevate our dual-language approach even more.

Tuition Assistance

Contributions to IMS families who are in need of additional, often sudden financial support, protect the stability of every child’s education in our community.

Alumni AMI Training

IMS children are starting to graduate from uni now, and who better to pursue an AMI teaching degree and return to IMS as a teachers? IMS is now funding IMS alumni, and inspirings a new generation of Montessori educators.

Entrepreneurship Fund

Gifts to support our Upper Elementary students’ real-life business operations, including micro-loans, help to bring their dreams to life, and provide real-life business lessons in profit and loss. All profits are donated to the children’s chosen charity after repayment of loans.

Sustainability Initiative

Donations to our environmental projects facilitates each IMS child to become a steward for a greener future.

ADDITIONAL GIVING OPPORTUNITIES: STANLEY PLAYGROUND

In addition to our ongoing enhancements supported by the Annual Fund, constructing our Middle School Wing costs exceeded the original budget, and delayed work after the 2023 typhoon destroyed our beloved banyan tree in the back playground. This re-imagined new play space and garden ($1.5 million) will be used by all Stanley children, and we would deeply value your support additional giving above and beyond the AF Goal.
